Great weather and repairs done for now.

Where are we today ?
Very cool nights here for sleeping which is wonderful 40f when I got up waiting for the sunrise starting at 7:30 am got a nice walkabout done first thing.
love the small lakes here
pool looks nice but no heated, brr
Today I have a few repair projects on the go. First thing I take down our windshield curtain to replace a few clips. Yesterday I found a strip at the rv place part place in town. Sew in but we do not have a sewing machine. But we do have GOOP  glue and it is amazing.
broken clips
cut the new strip to size
Then applied Goop and clamped down, hmm full beer cans and a part case will hold it all down For a while until it sets. Drink beer later.... lol..
makeshift clamp
looks good to go after a few hours
hey just like new !
Next project the window blind by the couch, broken string. Have restrung this blind at least once before and few others a couple of times. Not a big deal about an hour and we are done , Suzie's help is priceless. We have the cord so not a big deal. She happy = me happy !
yep its broken
just like new
Next project, the bottom of this door below came off, so a few POP rivets and it's all back together and working like new. This coach is getting older glad I can repair most of these minor things.
looks like new !
Now this was all done by noon so a light lunch then another walkabout was in order.
nice garden

nobody in the pool it's not heated !
perfect hit sunny day, only 82f, but can deal with that
Then got to read for a while before time for supper. Fire up our Weber Q grill a pork tenderloin  I picked up for 4 bucks and some fresh asparagus for $1.79 LB.
Just added that to the leftover taters, cabbage and carrots from our corned beef the other night and a bit of sauerkraut I had in the fridge. Boy did we have a tasty feast ! And lotsa leftovers too= perfect !
sure was tasty
What a great day, perfect weather, got things done and just the 2 of us. It was amazing !
Thanks for stopping by for a peek, hope your day was awesome too!

  1. Sounds like you got a lot of home repair work done and all before noon, not a bad day.
We turn East tomorrow for the slow trek home, we are already farther north on I40. Safe travels as you head east and north.

  3. We have the same problem with our curtains. Did you remove the old strip or just glue the new strip onto the old one?

We are also having a problem with the "drapery track" popping out of the wall. Was going to take it to the RV place for repair for them to re-rivet or something but maybe the Goop would fix that too what d'ya think?

Need to get the RV ship-shape for the warmer weather!

    1. I glued the strip over the old one just to replace the broken clips.
Re rivet or screw in place would be best, The goop might fix it but would need to 48-72 hours to cure.
We getting ready for cooler weather, but soon will be summer.

  10. We really need new blinds. Maybe that will be out big project this fall. I dread the idea of stringing new ones though.

    1. We love the blinds we have, easy to clean and not hard to restring them.
These do the trick for us.
