Whats all this white stuff this morning? And a nice visit with my son today.

Where are we today ?
Woke up this morning long before the sunrise and did not look out side until daylight happened. Almost 2 inches of this white fluffy stuff. These pics are for Leslie in Australia .
opened the door and this is what we saw
our  poor Weber Q
still coming down
looks like a black and white picture,
so pretty
Then as the sun was rising it
 began to melt quickly.
Look at how much on
our antenna ball
A nice walkabout town so quiet and peaceful, no wind and bright sunny skies, actually a very nice morning.
not on the road is a good thing
Walked past neighbor Dan's and his campfire still smouldering from last night, musta been a good time.
At 11:30 my son and 2 of his buddies Lenox and Paul stopped in for a visit. They had come from Toronto for Octoberfest celebrations in Kitchener. Like they have done for close to 15 years. Guys night out and always nice that they can make the time to drop by and see the "Old Man" and Suzie. Such a wonderful visit we had, chatting with the guys and catching up. By this time most of that white stuff was all gone and the sun shining, wonderful but still too chilly to sit outside.
I fired up our Weber Q and grilled Turkey burgers and added some potato salad and coleslaw. Of course gotta have all the toppings for the burgers.
sure hit the spot
We comfy inside and as usual the conversation just flowed. So nice to see Ken again and of course the guys too. First time we have met Paul. He had lotsa questions. Just bought his first RV. Pop up camper, but with fridge, stove, hot water heater, furnace etc.. just getting into it. And I am sure they will love it!
 L-R , Paul, Ken, Lennox
Well we had a wonderful visit but they still have to head back to the Big City (Toronto) about 90 minutes away. So away they went, sad to see them go but will see them next year we hope. And my son on facetime or whatever. Their first child (our 6th grandchild) due in about a month and they are so excited.
Now with sun shining all that white stuff is gone and the weather guessers predict milder weather for the next while. Sure hope they are right. We on the road Wednesday morning. Taking our time to the southwest. Not sure which way we going or exactly where but that's not a big deal (have close to 700 membership parks to stay at 70 free and the rest 9 to $15. dollars a night) we will play in by ear and enjoy the journey, just looking for a few new areas and sunshine we are easy to please. Did a bit of researching and weather checking and travel route options. It can change day by day, thats the fun of it. Never know for sure where we will be, hopefully sunny and warmer than here.
We can go now have had our winter wonderland fix and hope to see no more this winter.
Now a late supper tonight is a bowl of popcorn and an apple, a tradition thats Suzie loves, we had enough to eat at lunch and this just hit the spot.
that white stuff is all gone now,
and the sun shinning
Thanks for stopping in again and really hope your day was as wonderful as ours.

  1. Glad the white stuff cleared up for you. Not something you need when traveling.
Our high for today only reached 43 F (6 C) but at least the sun came out.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. We are too, but need to be patient even though it is pretty hard for us. We will be on the road Wednesday, no hurry to get to the southwest, just want to get, somewhere / anywhere. And enjoy some warmer weather than here.

  6. I'm hoping that's the last of the snow that you will see over this winter. Traveling in it is no fun. I'm sure the excitement is already building on heading south. There are many places to stay along the route for sure. Flexibility is the key.
