Weird day, but pretty warm and a Chinese Buffet lunch at Lin's with friends.

Where are we today ?
Another great night sleep, windows open and fresh dry air. But the confusing part this morning is the heavy dew, AND the morning fog. How come we have fog here in the desert?
cool morning views of the fog
Morning walkabouts the resort, I always start with a few rounds of the park,  couple miles to start the day off. Read for  a while and more walkabouts. Then at 12:30 our friends John and Barb picked us up to head into Lin's Chinese buffet in Yuma for lunch. Have been here before and will come back at some point again. Always good, always fresh, reasonable and good service. Mongolian grill, Chinese, steaks and Sushi very good.
We met our mutual friends Rob and Pat and headed on in. pay when you arrive and dive in Only $18:68 for 2 including tax. we have water to drink.
My salad to start
hot and sour soup, amazing
The first time I have tried Sushi and really, really enjoyed it, I could make a whole meal of just that, of course had a few more samples of this too.
chicken wings, rice, sushi, crawfish, shrimp, jalapeno peppers,
grilled salmon, fried fish, s/s chicken, the choices are endless
then to end with a small,
frozen yogurt cone
After here we headed back to our site with John and Barb who stopped in for a social hour (we road with them). While here the military choppers again passed overhead, a daily occurrence.
We arrived home and had another note missed Oscar and Judy again! Note said "are you guys never home?" In almost two weeks we have only been gone for 2 afternoons for about 3 hours each time and they happened to drop by both  times. We will get caught up with them at some point this winter for sure.
very loud choppers again
cool in the shade but John had a  blanket
Barb with Hank
Suzie got here doggie fix with Hank and Piper
Eventually they headed on home getting cooler now and we enjoyed our e-books and another nice sunset right from our site. Really love the desert views.
Here in the desert sun goes down the temperature drops big time so we head inside.
Read a bit, post our blog, some popcorn for supper and watch the tube for a few minutes before I fall asleep, in my recliner. the suzie will wake me up to go to bed as usual.
Hope your day as as wonderful as ours was and that we have many more along the road.
Thanks once again for stopping by.

  1. I was waiting to see if you'd show a plate filled with seafood. If you had, we might have already been on our way down to Yuma! Glad you're still enjoying yourselves.

  3. I suspect the choppers have something to do with border patrol.

    1. The border control truck are everywhere as well as their choppers too. They pick up the illegals and bus them back to Mexico all the time.

  6. We have eaten at Lin's...sure didn't leave there hungry! Even skipped supper...
I know what you mean about the temp falling fast once the sun goes down. We've had some chilly nights in Tucson!

  8. Although I've never thought about it, fog in the desert does seem a little unusual. Thanks a fine looking plate of food.

    1. Arizona is very dry usually thats we don't often see fog here. Dust storms but not fog.
The food was excellent for a buffet.
