Check up, Mother's Day part 2, T ball and another Balloon

Where are we today ?
New Hamburg Ontario

The weather is just turning awesome! Today the sun got up before me and I was up before 6 am. That is very unusual or maybe not, does not matter much. Wonderful clear blue skies and getting warmer by the minute, this is good.

This morning we headed out at 8:30 am for our annual check up at the doctor in Stratford. Here the doc did the usual stuff poked and prodded, listen checked and weighed. To our surprize I had lost 11 lbs, and my blood pressure was almost normal. What happened ? Am I eating healthier, exercising more ? Maybe, maybe not but something is working. I know it must be our lifestyle, they say rv'ers are healthier people that must be us. Suzie is healthy too, this is a good sign. Just gotta have a few of the standard blood tests done somewhere and we should be good to go.

Now got this out of the way off we go to Waterloo and visit my mother for Mother's Day, along with Sis Louise, and her husband Paul, Brother Chris and his wife Sheri. Chris is still working (young guy that he is) and is only off Monday and Tuesday so Monday visits work for us all to get together.

They all have two hour plus drives to get here by noon, so we just usually order in some food. Today is an assortment of Chinese food from a great place around the corner well known for cooking with no MSG. This way we can chat, visit and all get together with no real fuss. And have a nice visit with our mother.
very tasty
Now time for us all to head back home and we were able to enjoy a bit of sunshine and play with Omer for a while. He was in a playful mood and Suzie really got him going, you would never know he was 10 years old.

Then we have the cows they just kinda stand there and look at us like they are saying "what are you staring at", we just gonna get a drink.
No supper tonight after such a huge tasty lunch at ma's and at 6:15 we headed out to Drumbo to watch a grandson play T-ball. Quite interesting and fun to watch how these kids learn how to play baseball. Trying to hit, catch and throw, but they are all having fun.

We got there and have distractions going on. On the empty soccer field next to the ball diamond there is a group setting up a hot air balloon to take six people for a ride. So I was able stand between the soccer field and ball diamond and watch both of these events happening simultaneously. This was pretty cool, just a couple days ago we watched our first balloon land down the road from the farm and now tonight we watch our first launching.

and away!
Ok, now with my head and camera going back and forth like a tennis match finally the balloon was gone and I could concentrate on the ball game. There is no winning team at this stage just learning the sport and they all seem to have such a great time.

8 o'clock and the game is over, time for us and them to head home after another great family day and very warm weather. Yes we do love this lifestyle, thanks for stopping by again.

  1. Just one question. How do you eat all those great looking meals, including dessert, and manage to lose 11 lbs. Not fair! I gain 11 lbs. just reading your blog!

    1. Well, a light lunch and a portioned supper, no snacks, oh and we very seldom eat desert. If we have a large meal at noon no supper maybe plain popcorn or maybe its the switch to light beer ya think ?

  4. Glad you had a nice day with your Mom and family, nice group picture of you all. Sure a beautiful looking dairy farm Suzie's brother has. I think the attitude you both have for life and the way you are living it sure helps with your health.
