Our last day in the USA for this winter.

Thanks for joining us on our journey of North America
in our Holiday Rambler, since August 2006

Where are we today ?

Well last night we had great sleep, cold and not too humid. This morning we are up with the sunshine and enjoying an nice sunrise out our front window, taking the frost off the car. Coffees, computing and a walkabout the resort all is just great.!

Lots of beautiful rental cabins, and so many campsites, just can't get over the size of this resort.
just a handful of cabins, so many more
Then down by the beach they have all the toys here. I am sure this place will be a zoo in the summer, probably not a place we would want to be. Maybe with our grandkids would be good thou.
all the water toys are here
nice beach but a little cool, today
The other day we did a toll road and at the end we put in out ticket, self serve booth. Cost was $8.00. I put in a 20 dollar bill and got back 12 gold colored one dollar coins! Looks just like a Canadian "loonie" but with Andrew Jackson on it and no year stamped on them. They cannot be a Loonie (that's just too Canadian) guess just a one dollar gold colored coin. Problem here is that the vending machines do not accept  one dollar coins so what to do with them?
one dollar gold coins
After a bite for breaky, I went to the store for a few groceries and some Easter stuff for our 5 grandchildren. Very frustrating, what to buy? But I picked up a few things then back home. Do our final laundry, can't use these one dollar coins just a whole mess of quarters.

While the machines did their magic I got read for a while and Suzie cleaned our house to an amazingly shinny, spotless mansion. I hardly knew it was the same house!

But she was there and I knew it was the right place. Folded the laundry, made the bed with freshly laundered sheets then we can sit outside and enjoy a wonderful sunny afternoon, more reading, no wind and temps in the mid 70's, perfect!

Our neighbor went out for a bit and came back with a huge truck full of firewood, looks like they will have a huge fire for a few days. They offered some firewood to us, got a good deal on a truck load. But we are leaving early in the morning for back home to Canada.
lotta firewood
Finally time to fire up our Weber Q 100 throw on some chicken legs and thighs, whip up a rice pilaff, broccoli with cheese and a few pilsbury crescent rolls in the oven to round off a nice tasty BBQ supper.
yep it was good, shoulda dropped by
Supper done, dumped our tanks put our hoses away then we put our feet up with a book and a bit of tv for a nice relaxing evening.

Good night now, we are on the road in the morning. Gotta come back and head south soon for another warm winter. We will have a busy summer to thou. stay tuned.

    1. They should do like in Canada. Replace the paper dollar and change vending machines.
