Wed. Apr.13th 2011, Last day at Styx River Alabama

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

Another bright sunny hot day and our last one here so will make the most of it. Up early, walkabouts, a few groceries at the store, putter around outside enjoying it all. Relax in the shade with our books, and even a nice swim in the warm outdoor pool.
the inviting pool
We rolled up our patio mat, stowed the sewer hose and chatted with another new neighbour from Tennessee who has been a fulltime rver for 11 years now. Shortly after 4 o'clock Emile and Monique dropped by for happy hour to chat and solve the problems of the world promising to see each other at some point in Ontario this summer.

While chatting here Denis and Sandy returned home from their day trip and joined us as well so we had more stories to share for a while.
happy hour
Then when the required happy hour (and a bit) was complete we said our good byes and will keep in touch, love the internet, until we run into each other again some day. Now it was time to fire up the barbie to grill a few chicken wings to accompany a pepperoni pizza I was customizing with all the extra goodies that we like, like onions, mushrooms, broccoli, asparagus, tomato, (olives and jalapeno peppers on my half) and of course some extra stringy mozzarella cheese.
filling pizza and wings
That just hit the spot and we still have half a pizza left for another meal. After this we put away our tables and chairs and secured the awning so we don't have to do that in the morning dew. Compute and read a bit, then the tv sleeping aide kicked it.

On the road heading straight north thursday morning, destination the Flying J in Birmingham Alabama for the night. See y'all there.
