New Years Eve was fun, different and early. And New Years day was early, bright, sunny and quite warm. Morning coffees and computing a walkabout on a beautiful sunny day, and by 10:30 am it was very nice outside. This picture was taken in the sun, which inspired me to put on my shorts, t-shirt get the lawn chairs out and enjoy the sunshine.
We took our books outside and enjoyed the hot sun, and fresh air. Another walkabout puttering around, a bite for lunch it was a great New Year's day. I have a new theory for 2011, if its hot outside I read the thermometer in the shade, if its a bit cooler out I read the thermometer in the sun that way we can have almost perfect weather wherever we are, right?
Well the sun stayed around till about 3:00 pm then sneaks behind the trees and mountains putting us in the shade and cooling down. So inside read a bit more and prepare a delicious supper, tonight a french trimmed Lamb rib roast, with a rice pilaf and spinach salad.

This was a great way to begin the new year with nice weather, great company and a delicious supper, then chat, read and relax a bit more.
