Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
since August 2006

We have been in Arizona and desert areas for exactly one month now and the dry climate is taking effect. Breathing easier, aches and pains go away warm and sunny with moderate temperatures, warm days cool nights. Gotta love it. How dry is it? Just look at our kitchen cupboard door panel, in the summer months no crack visible and every winter in Arizona it dries out and opens this crack.

Now with all this dryness we have be sure to consume plenty of fluid so we don't dehydrate. This morning I'm off to Blythe for some more beverages and a few groceries so our supplies don't dwindle. Across the road from our resort is an old pioneer cemetery that has been partially restored by the historical society here, with the first burial in 1862 the last on April 22, 1988 Makes you wonder about the pioneers of past.

Now back home we figure it a good day to do laundry, so thats my chore for a while, Suzie sorts it and I take it to the resorts laundramat to keep an eye on it. Here I can read a book outside, and watch the staff hanging out on their custom golf carts chatting and planning the activities.

Well we have our chores done now so we can relax for a while in the shade with a good book. We seem to have a bit more daylight here so can start supper a bit late. Fire up the Barbie, for some baked potatoes,  prime rib steak, with fresh mushrooms and onions, coconut shrimp, and broccoli w/cheese. Chat for a while and a relaxing tv show to put me to sleep.
yummy again

  1. One of our favorite WHR parks although we prefer being in the back along the river where the dogs have more running room. I like to meander thru that cemetery and think of what their lives where like. So are you going to share the coconut shrimp recipe or did you cheat and buy it premade?

  2. Contessa I cheated, bought them premade, but they were still pretty good. Its an easy way to enjoy a couple once in a while.
